The homework problem sets are posted here for downloading as they are assigned. I'll post a suggested date by which you should finish a homework assignment, and after that date, I'll post the problem solutions. These solutions will not just give you the answers to the problems but will show you how I would like you to work the problems. To do well on the exams study the homework problem solutions and HOW I work the problems in class.

In class, I have explained that when we report a conclusion for a hypothesis test, we should report the conclusion in the past tense because that’s what we observed in our study or experiment. I’ve also said that you should report the result as specifically as possible. In other words, you should NOT just write “There was a significant effect of ...” if the result of the study was more specific—e.g. you should write/report “There was a significant increase....or there was a significant decrease” rather than simply stating “there was an effect.” In some of the homework solutions that I’ve posted to the course website, I did not report the conclusion (Step 5) in this way. So here I have corrected these conclusions so they agree with how I’m teaching you in class to state them.
Finish what you can by Tuesday, 03-01-22. I'll go over 1-tailed tests for the independent t test on Tuesday (03-01-22).
